Griffis Seattle
Seattle, WA
Griffis Seattle Waterfront, formerly known as The Post, is a 180,000-square-foot repositioning of a legacy residential tower along Seattle’s historic waterfront—blending sweeping views of Puget Sound with a full-scale interior renovation focused on lifestyle, wellness, and connection.
This renovation redefines what it means to modernize a high-profile urban property—honoring its architectural roots while elevating the resident experience. From the moment of arrival, residents encounter a renewed sense of ease, beauty, and belonging. The leasing lobby welcomes with warmth and clarity, while the Collar Club—an innovative pet-friendly amenity with direct Post Avenue access—serves as a casual social hub. Rooftop spaces, including the Sky Lounge and community kitchen, embrace the panoramic views and rhythm of the city. As the Community Manager shared, “Residents love the transformation—especially the Collar Club and rooftop lounge. It feels like a brand-new building.”
Co-working pods and a quiet library support focus and flexibility, while the entertainment lounge invites spontaneity, game nights, and connection. “The design makes everything feel elevated—from where I work to where I unwind,” shared one long-time resident. “This feels like a whole new chapter.”
Key to the project’s success was rethinking how existing layouts could flex to meet evolving resident expectations. The design team worked within structural constraints to create a fluid experience—balancing bold lighting, refined materiality, and curated moments of comfort throughout.
This is where legacy meets lifestyle—a thoughtful transformation built on insight, creativity, and intention.
